The 80's Disco Dazzler
2nd April 2015

RAW Events hosted an 80's Disco party night at the famous Batley Frontier.

A buzzing crowd reminisced with incredible performances from the original stars of their youth!

The night was opened by local 80's cover band Utopia84 who got the dance floor moving with great versions of classic songs.

Hazell Dean put on a fantastic show, belting out her hits from the 80's including "Searchin' (I gotta find a man)" and "Who's Leaving Who". There was plenty of audience participation singing along to these.

The UK's very own Princess of Pop was up next. Sonia treated us to her own hits including "You'll Never Stop Me From Loving You" and "Better the Devil You Know" along with 80's covers including some from fellow Stock Aitken Waterman artistes.

The night was headlined by "Formerly of Bucks Fizz", featuring original group members, Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan and Jay Aston along with Bobby McVay. The packed dance floor was treated to hit after hit, with everything from "Land of Make Believe" and "My Camera Never Lies" to the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest winning "Making Your Mind Up"...complete with skirt ripping!
